Thomas Dye, CEO
Thomas Dye is a serial entrepreneur and considered among his peers as a high-tech visionary with street-smart business skills and executive level team leadership skills. After beginning his career in 1979 as a designer with Texas Instruments, Tom worked for such corporations as Motorola, Dell and Cirrus Logic in various positions ranging from design manager to VP and Corporate Fellow. In 1986, Tom helped grow Nth Graphics Ltd. from a $600,000 initial investment to more than $12 million in annual sales revenue. In 1991, Tom founded Austek Microsystems, where he designed a single chip 3-D graphics solution for the emerging PC video industry. He sold Austek to Cirrus Logic, Inc. in 1994. In 1998, Tom founded Interactive Silicon Inc. (ISI) a fabless semiconductor and software company. As CTO and CEO, Tom raised institutional funding from Austin Ventures, Dell Ventures and other top VCs. At ISI, Tom orchestrated the design, development and sales of high-speed data compression chips and grew the company to over $50 million in valuation. In 2001, along with three other partners, Tom co-founded Meetrix Inc. Working as both CEO and CTO he invented video and voice over IP solutions (V&VoIP) that provided secure, real-time, multi-party communications technology over the open Internet. Tom founded MyTurf in 2004. Tom is the holder of over 43 issued patents that form the technology backbone of his various start-up ventures. Tom holds a BSEE degree from Michigan State University.
