Don K. Brown, COO

Don Brown co-founded MyTurf in 2007 and currently leads sales and operations. Prior to MyTurf, he founded EcoVelocity Associates, which specializes in helping companies and non-profit organizations with sustainability strategies. Don held a variety of executive and senior positions spanning a 25-plus year tenure at Dell and IBM. At Dell, Don served in senior program management roles, introducing products into global markets that represented $7B in revenue. As Director of New Product Operations, Don led the introduction of Dell's commercial desktop products into factories globally and design for manufacturing and service. And as Director of Regulatory, Product Safety, and Environmental Affairs Don led a broad-based transformation to meet emerging global market requirements. At IBM, Don served as Senior Technology Sales Manager, where he helped define and develop sales relationships leading to multi-million dollar technology contracts. As Program Director of microprocessor development he delivered microprocessors for Apple's Power platforms. As Senior Engineering Manager, Don led semiconductor R&D and operations teams to develop new processes and fabricate logic and memory products. Don has owned and operated several independent sales and marketing businesses. He has served on the board of Keep Austin Beautiful since 2003. Don has an MS in Management of Technology from MIT and an MS in Solid State Physics and Material Science from Columbia University.
